We bring people together around a better future for electronics in Uganda. From practical awareness sessions to collecting unwanted devices, our work starts with a conversation.
Meet Zura TechThe e-waste problem is growing.
Electronic devices are becoming an increasingly important part of everyday life — but what happens when they stop being useful?
Uganda generated approximately 41 million kg of e-waste in 2022, while only about 0.2 million kg was documented as formally collected and recycled. Globally, 62 billion kg was generated in 2022 with just 22.3% documented — and Africa’s formal collection and recycling rate was below 1%.
